Is Your Marketing Plan Relevant for 2015

Internet Usage

More and more people are using the internet for their daily lives. We work, play, and rely many times on the internet and so as we enter the new year are your marketing strategies relevant. Will they accomplish your goals for 2015.

Here are a few things you can ask yourself:

Are You Findable?

Search your name or your business name, and your keywords and see if you come up in the search results. If not then how will other people find you or your business? I can tell you from personal experience, if I try to find someone or something online and I can’t I go with what I do find in the search. For example if you are looking for carpet cleaning in Honesdale PA, ProJan will be at the top of the search, and if I was looking for carpet cleaning services, I would go with a business that came up on the first page when I searched.

If you don’t come up in the search results then how will you be found?

Are You Available?

When someone finds you in the search and uses your information to contact you, do you answer? Although we are using the internet more and more people still want the personal touch, they still want to work with real people. Once they find you they want to be able to reach you.

Customers can come to us through a number of different channels, both online and offline. The question is, will the same practices we used in 2014 be relevant in 2015? Even as customers diversify their channel preferences and gather information and quotes from a variety of sources — including digital, mobile and social media — They will still look for that personal touch.

There are a number of ways that you can market on the world wide web, and it does not take a lot of experience to master some of these skills.

Here are a few of the options you might consider:

  • A Personal Website
  • Use a Blogging Platform
  • Facebook Page
  • Twitter for quick links and updates
  • LinkedIn
  • Instagram – people love pictures

Using the internet for business has become a natural part of life for many of us. And it looks like that trend will continue in 2015.
